How HALI Opens Scholarship Doors
Through the Friends of HALI Network
The Friends of HALI network across five continents actively recruits HALI-affiliated students, awarding more than $150M in scholarships annually. These relationships are built on years of trust, contextual knowledge, and shared commitment to inclusive admissions.
Through Exclusive Scholarship Partnerships
Beyond the broader network, HALI negotiates scholarship pathways that go a step further by offering full scholarships exclusively for HALI-affiliated students through formal agreements with select university partners. Universities receive a pre-vetted shortlist of committed, high-achieving candidates who have been carefully selected by organizations that know them best.

HALI-Exclusive Undergraduate Scholarships
Through deep institutional relationships and sustained advocacy, HALI has established exclusive scholarship pathways with institutions in Europe, Asia, and Africa, with more in development as the network grows. Students access these scholarships through their HALI member organization, which nominates candidates based on HALI's partnership guidelines. Students must be high-achieving, low-income, and affiliated with a HALI member organization.

Commonwealth Scholarships
HALI is an official nominating agency for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK, one of the most prestigious postgraduate scholarship programs in the world. Through this pathway, individuals affiliated with a HALI member organization can access fully funded Master's and PhD scholarships to study at leading UK universities.
HALI nominates candidates at the Master's and PhD level who meet the CSC's eligibility criteria. All nominations are submitted through member organizations. Applicants cannot apply directly to HALI without prior affiliation.
