About Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA
Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA is an international school in Eswatini (Swaziland) with a long history of serving the underserved, founded at the height of apartheid in South Africa as a multiracial school. The school has continued the tradition of embracing diversity in all its forms for more than 50 years — Nelson Mandela's children and grandchildren attended the school. Waterford strives to lay the foundation for students to become responsible citizens with the skills, knowledge, and sense of purpose to provide leadership in both Africa and the world. His Majesty King Sobhuza II granted Waterford the title "Kamhlaba" — meaning "all of one world" — to describe its culturally rich and diverse community. The school's Scholarship Programme provides access to world-class education for disadvantaged yet talented African students, with a growing focus on scholarship opportunities in North America.
