About WAAW Foundation
WAAW (Working to Advance Science and Technology Education for African Women) Foundation is an international non-profit organization founded in 2007, registered in the United States, Rwanda, South Africa, and headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria. The organization focuses on increasing the pipeline of African girls engaged in STEM education and innovation through initiatives centered on education, leadership, technology innovation, and entrepreneurship with attention to localization, gender, and cultural sensitivity. By 2025, WAAW targets a 10% increase in African women in STEM, building female technology innovators who create 10,000 jobs to impact their communities, with 90% of participants entering and staying in STEM fields.
