Open Dreams

Open Dreams is a US non-profit with the mission, "Equalizing Access to Educational Opportunities for Community Impact".

We support high-achieving, low-income high school students and university graduates predominantly in Cameroon. We believe education is the key to unlocking everyone's potential.

We work to bridge educational gaps by selecting highly promising students and empowering them through the Open Dreams Summer Academy, the Open Dreams Tech Skills Academy, Project Moon (the online summer program), the Open Dreams Graduate Summit, etc to pursue educational opportunities in Cameroon and abroad. Our selection criteria include intellectual promise, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic achievement, and commitment to community service.

We operate Open Dreams Hubs in the following five major towns in Cameroon: Bamenda, Bafoussam, Buea, Douala and Yaounde providing access to resources including Internet, Computers, SAT/TOEFL/GRE/IELTS preparatory materials and tutoring. We also offer mentorship and volunteering programs to develop leadership skills through community engagement, which runs through the gap years students spend with us.
