We are thrilled to announce our fall tour across three major cities in Kenya: Nairobi, Mombasa, and Nakuru. We are excited for you to meet dynamic students and counselors at international and top national schools in the three cities. We understand the importance of quality and access, and you can therefore expect to engage with top-ranking schools and other top schools that do not have great access to international admissions officers. Our tour will offer a mix of school visits, mini college fairs in each city, and a counselor reception to maximize your time in Kenya. 

  • Arrival date: September 2nd, 2025
  • Tour dates: September 3rd-6th, 2025 
  • Departure to the Indaba: September 7th, 2025
  • Cost per university:  $5,000. Includes hotels and all transportation in Kenya.

What to expect

  • A mix of school visits and college fairs. With this combined approach, you will meet a minimum of 4 schools and a maximum of 8 schools daily. 
  • Counselor reception in Nairobi to network with high school counselors and leaders in access organizations. 
  • Cultural immersion to explore the rich traditions, cuisine, landscapes and wildlife that define Kenya’s tourism. 
  • Internal flights and comfortable local transportation to move across the cities. We, unfortunately, are not able to cover travel to Kenya.
  • Luxury accommodation in Nairobi and Nakuru, including a hearty breakfast to start the day.
  • Lunch and select dinners to ensure you are fueled throughout the tour. 
  • Dedicated tour coordinator.

Who we are

Since 2016, the HALI Access Network has been convening counselors, access leaders, and international admissions officers to collaborate to support talented African students in accessing admission at global universities. We are an access network with a reach spanning 16 African countries, close to 100 access organizations, schools and universities in our membership, and a wealth of experience in identifying talented students and supporting them to gain competitive admission and scholarships to universities in different regions of the world. 

Note

  • This tour is open to full-time admissions officers at four-year degree-awarding institutions. 
  • Membership with the HALI Access Network is not required to participate in the tour.
  • The tour is scheduled to coincide with the annual HALI Indaba (gathering) which will take place in Naivasha, Kenya from 7th – 11th September. Universities can participate on the 8th and 9th September, 2025. Contact us for more information.
